When was the last time you took stock on what you’ve achieved?
What I’ve noticed about myself is that I’ll start a project, I’ll go all out & gung ho with enthusiasm, brilliant ideas and plans.
I’ll get to work, nail it and then somewhere along the line….. everything stops.
Productivity goes down, frustration goes up and I kind of just don’t know where to turn.
Sometimes I’ll have gone through my ideas and plans, sometimes I let myself get knocked down my the lack of results, sometimes Ill just be plain tired…. worn out from the run of it all.
But heres what Ive figured out…..
I AM INCREDIBLY IMPATIENT!!!! This does not serve me well!!
If I don’t get super results instantly I feel like throwing in the towel and I start to go down hill.
This is my pattern.
I’m breaking through it because I’ve chosen a path and the only person who can do this is me. The only person who can shore my success is me.
Did you know that 40% of what we do in a day is guided by unconscious habits??
Self awareness of your patterns is key when your trying to break through.
If you have a goal, an aspiration or somewhere your wanting to get to and you’ve halted, have a look at your beliefs and patterns.
You may be holding unhelpful (and untrue) beliefs that “this isn’t working”, or I”m not doing enough” or “Im not good enough”….. these are old belief patterns that I personally hold.
Notice your thoughts. Its the negative self talk you hold thats literally holding you back in life.
Today I take back my power and I choose not to listen!!!!
I choose to trust in the process understand its a long term plan and that the Universe doesn’t gift you a successful mega empire in a day/ month/ week/ year etc.
By that I mean, carry on. Keep doing the do. Recognise what good I’ve done and move forward.
Everything in life is trial and error. Some things work, some things don’t, we reflect, adapt, move on.
I recognised I had been working hard and I just need a bit of down time.
My body needed extra sleep and my mind needed a bit of a wander, some useless nonsense to jilt it into light heartedness and play for a little while. To take off the heavies!!
Then I did this exercise…..
I wrote down what I had achieved in the last 2 months. Holy smokes have you ever really looked at what you have achieved? Have you wrote down all the good that you’ve done? In a positive and kind way?
Give it a go, Im sure you will be pleasantly surprised. Do it from a life perspective, or the last 5 years, last 3 years or the last year- whatever suits you.
Be kind & do it from a space of nurturing as though its a mentor or support person creating the list for you.
No achievement is too small. If it was an achievement for you to get in the shower today, seriously you know what that took. Thats your achievement.
If it was an achievement to do the dishes and tidy up the house again celebrate it, you know what that took for you to do that from the space where your at.
I’ve had months where I had to celebrate those kind of achievements. No one lives in your body or your life only you so don’t make things worse for yourself by comparing your wins to someone else.
I’m pretty happy with my list and its spurred me on to tackle the world and creating my empire once more!
We are so pre programmed to knock ourselves down, not to take in our achievements. We quite literally hold things up on a pedestal, achieve them – blast through them and just want the next and the next.
If we never take time to smell the roses and appreciate all that we’ve done, learned, moved through, experienced and overcome then how will be ever appreciate ourselves enough to continue to move forward?
We ( as in You Personally) are the key to unlocking your own full potential. Anything we want to achieve and experience within ourselves and in our lives is up to the way we think about ourselves.
